- Gestalt Laws of Grouping
A set of psychological principles that explain how the brain perceives objects and patterns. They are Proximity, Similarity, Closure, Good Continuation, and Common Fate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principles_of_grouping

Interface elements that exist on every page template (or nearly every page) on a website, such as a header and footer.
